Comments
to the Table:
In principle, as all vegetative (sterile) parts of C. trifida are
present underground, no sterile individuals can be counted by this
method. However, in some cases very diminutive specimens are found
that are at least functionally sterile. Thus, the numbers given
in the second row of the table represent such individuals. Also
included here are shoots which disappeared prior to flowering. (To
